Notice on Trail Use at the FLCA

The trails at the Fitzgerald Lake Conservation Area remain open for the enjoyment of the public during this difficult time. Since they are experiencing increased use, however, it’s important that everybody follow these guidelines:

  • Maintain at least 6 feet of distance between yourself and other hikers. You may have to step off the trail to do so safely

  • Keep dogs on leash and under your control at all times. Dogs can’t become infected with Covid-19 but they may carry it on their fur. Please do not let your dog approach others.

  • Place dog waste in plastic bag, available at North Farms Road and Boggy Meadow Road entrances, and dispose of off-site.

For more information on social distancing and dog walking, please read this article
from the Worms and Germs Blog, a site recommended  by veterinarians.

Thank you for observing these guidelines and helping us keep the trails at the FLCA open. If you notice any problems with the use of our trails, please contact us at info@broadbrookcoalition.org.
